Begum
The design for these earrings was originally given by a dear friend across the border, Begum Sitara, hence the name. They once belonged to her friend's grandmother, and Begum (Anjali) was kind enough to share this beautiful story and design with us. These earrings are crafted in the traditional Peepal Pattiyaan style, which can only be found in the Punjab region of India and Pakistan. Each leaf (patti) is hand-cut with a die and carefully shaped.
The Begum earrings are made by cutting, shaping, and joining 100 copper petals, held together with a real basra pearls. It features a heart-shaped top, stamped on a brass sheet by hand. Designed to resemble a chandelier, they are lightweight and easy to wear.
